About
The Mothering Effect is the brainchild of a busy mother who understands the extraordinary balance it takes to raise a child.
As a mom, I strive to find activities for my child that are developmentally enriching, socially engaging, mentally stimulating, and fun. In my pursuit to meet my child’s needs, I realized that I had neglected to meet the same needs for myself. Over time, the never-ending cycle of managing my professional and household responsibilities-although fulfilling individually-combined with unexpected life events became taxing.
I am not alone.
I began to converse with other mothers and found they were prioritizing everything and everyone over themselves, unsure of where to start in gaining a reasonable balance that included self-care.
All events incorporate one or more of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
